Repository research activities
A major part of the Repository mission is to enhance the value of Repository strains. Examples of research activities are:
- Stabilizing the strain background on newly imported or developed models by backcrossing to a standard inbred strain;
- SNP genotyping to verify genetic background; and
- Further phenotype characterization of multiple physiological systems, including reproductive, endocrine, neurological, hematological, immunological, skeletal and behavioral.
In addition, we develop ES cell lines from selected disease model strains for studies that can be performed in stem cells.
We wecome the opportunity to form partnerships to develop new research resources
